Salimah Gablan is an
artist based in Amsterdam.

In her practice, artist Salimah Gablan raises questions about alienation and distorted reality. She is interested in the boundaries of her experiences and her inner world.

By examining what we are part of, she comes across questions about the self, dreams, memories and suppressed feelings.

Her work consists of installations, drawings and objects in which she assembles these fragments.
With humour and curiosity, she plays with form and distortion, revealing and concealing.
